The science of the heat (without the jargon)
We build our quartz lamps to fit the Contiform oven’s voltage and wattage perfectly. We use shortwave infrared (SWIR) because it cuts through the PET material much faster. The goal is to get that preform to the glass transition temperature every single time. Some people try to “fix” old, dying lamps by cranking up the wattage. Don’t do that. You’ll just end up scorching your plastic. Our lamps keep the focal length and power density right where they need to be. Simple.
Tough glass, easy fit
We use high-purity fused quartz because these things take a beating. They heat up and cool down thousands of times a day. If the glass isn’t top-tier, it’ll crack. As for the installation? It’s a breeze. We use standard R7s or Sk15 connectors. You just slide them into the existing sockets. No rewiring, no headaches, no calling in a specialist for something that should take five minutes. One quick tip: some of our tubes have a special coating that bounces heat back toward the preform. It saves energy, but it makes the tube itself run hotter. Just make sure your cooling fans are clean. You don’t want your sockets melting because of a layer of dust.
