Nobody wants a heater that feels like a spotlight in their face. So, we changed how the heating element actually works. Warmth without the sting We use a special blend of quartz and internal coatings to shift the light. Standard lamps hit you with a harsh, blue-light peak that can be blinding. We filter that out and push the energy into the long-wave infrared band instead. The result? You get a soft, gentle glow. It keeps the retina safe from overexposure, but you still get all the heat you need to dry out a damp room. It just feels more natural. How it actually works Inside, there’s a tungsten filament tucked into a high-purity quartz tube. We chose these specifically because they heat up fast. Really fast. Because the quartz lets the IR radiation slide right through without soaking it up, the heat hits you directly. You aren’t waiting around for the air in the room to warm up first; you feel the warmth the second you flip the switch. The honest trade-off Here’s the thing: when you filter out the harsh light to protect your eyes, you do lose a tiny bit of raw power compared to those giant industrial lamps. But we fixed that by tweaking the shape of the reflector. It focuses the “safe” heat exactly where it needs to go, so you don’t even notice the difference. A quick tip on installation If you’re wiring these into a bathroom, please—double-check your IP65 housing. Make sure it’s seated perfectly. If moisture leaks in, it’ll fry your electronics way before the lamp ever burns out. Use the right gaskets. If the seal fails, a drop of cold condensation hitting that hot quartz can cause it to crack from the shock. Just take an extra minute to get the seal right, and you’re golden.
