The “High Ceiling” Problem

What’s actually happening inside?
It mostly comes down to the IP rating—basically, how well the unit keeps the “outside” out. Cheap lamps have gaps. Steam gets in, hits the electrical terminals, and starts eating away at the metal. High-spec units use sealed gaskets and special coatings to block that moisture. We put heavy-duty seals around the wiring entries because the last thing you want is steam creeping into your circuitry.
A quick heads-up on installation
Here’s the thing: you can’t just swap a cheap lamp for a high-wattage infrared unit and call it a day. These units pull more power to get that intense heat. You’ll want to check your wiring first. If your wires are too thin or your circuit is already maxed out, you’re going to trip the breaker the second you flip the switch. Not a great way to start your morning. But once they’re in? They last. By locking out the humidity, we stop the rust and oxidation that kills those budget heaters. It’s just a smarter, more reliable way to keep your toes warm.
