What I built in, and why
We built this electric heater around radiant infrared warmth, because glass throws heat back at the source. A focused carbon fiber element gives broad, even coverage and comes on fast. The 1500W output is sized to warm typical sunrooms without tripping a standard 120V outlet. Set comfort with the built-in thermostat. For safety, it has tip-over protection and overheat protection. The sealed design carries an IP rating for indoor spaces where humidity and dust are under control. And it runs quiet—no fan, no rattle.
Why it feels right in a sunroom
Comfort here is about people, not just what the thermometer says. Infrared warmth hits skin and furnishings directly, so you feel cozy even when the air is cooler. That means fewer drafts, less dryness, and evenings that stay relaxed—whether you’re reading, stretching, or having people over. Because the heat is directional, it doesn’t fight the glass. The practical stuff—placement and power
Placement matters. Keep the heater on a stable, level surface, and give it clear clearance from curtains, furniture, and anything flammable. Plug it into a grounded outlet on a dedicated circuit, and skip the extension cord. This unit is for indoor use. If your sunroom takes direct rain or heavy spray, go with an outdoor-rated patio heater instead.
