Power, Voltage, and Fit: The Real-World Details
Here’s the thing about a Husky HyPET system—it runs fast. The lamp has to keep up with the shot rates, and it has to fit right into the existing heater block. So we dialed in the wattage and voltage to match the machine’s power, which means you get steady performance without the voltage dipping. The tube length is designed to cover the entire heating zone, so the preform heats evenly, top to bottom. We went with a 400V high-voltage setup. This gives you the heat density you need in a compact design. But that power comes with a price. It demands serious cooling and a solid electrical setup from the blower. If the cooling isn’t up to par, heat builds up, and that can shorten the life of everything around it.
What It’s Made Of: Quartz, Coating, and the Right Connection
The heart of this lamp is a quartz envelope. It handles high heat and responds instantly—no lag, no waiting. Halogen technology keeps the filament stable, so the output stays consistent, even with all the on-off cycling. A special coating focuses the infrared energy right where it needs to go: onto the preform. Less wasted heat means the blower components stay cooler. And the connector? It’s chosen to match the Sacmi blower exactly. You wire it in without fiddling around with adapters or modifying the block.
