When the heating tunnel is fighting itself, the whole line drags. We built our twin-tube gold lamp, 11x23mm, as a direct swap for OEM-grade IR emitters on PET stretch blow molding machines—Sidel, Krones, SIPA, Husky, SACMI, and Nissei ASB. The point is simple: get back to stable cycles and quality you can count on, shift after shift. What matters technically This is a short-wave infrared halogen lamp, with a gold-coated quartz envelope, tuned for fast, focused heat. The 11x23mm size drops into tight reflector geometries in standard heating modules, and the R7s base seats solid—no wobble. The gold coating keeps energy directed down where you need it, cutting stray heat that can scorch preform necks. In practice, you get quicker ramp-up, tighter temperature bands across the preform wall, and fewer headaches chasing hot and cold spots. For maintenance, the 1:1 form factor lets you swap lamps during a scheduled window without reworking the reflector tray. Things to know Installation is straightforward, but alignment is everything. Even a small gap in the reflector changes the spot profile and can show up as banding. Check reflector condition—pitting and oxidation steal output—and make sure the lamp is seated clean at the R7s contacts to avoid arcing. Match voltage to your heater block. Mismatched voltage shortens life and pushes color temperature off. You’ll get the best performance when the tunnel is clean, preforms are dry, and cooling airflow is stable.
